An Evening at FIARTIL (The Estoril Crafts Fair)
During the weeks of the event, the Estoril Craft Fair has welcomed more than 100,000 visitors from all over the country and from around the world.
Our newsletter, Lisbon Awaits, includes an event we’ve been dying to check out for the past few weeks. The town of Estoril, just outside of Cascais, annually hosts a crafts fair in the FIARTIL space. FIARTIL is an events space located in the center of Estoril. Here, you can explore new concepts, arts, and gastronomy throughout the year, follow trends, and discover new brands.
🎨 Estoril Crafts Fair
2024 marks the 59th edition of the Feira de Artesanato do Estoril (The Estoril Crafts Fair). During the weeks of the event, the fair welcomes more than 100,000 visitors from all over the country and from around the world, where they celebrate together the best of traditional crafts, modern commerce, and gastronomy.

🎉 At the fair
Once you’re inside the fair, you’ll find dozens of stalls featuring local artisans, food vendors, tasty beverages, and live music. Swing by one of the drink stands for a beverage to sip on as you browse the stalls selling clothing, jewelry, and other hand-made crafts.
We tried a maracujá (passion fruit) caipirinha and a limoncello spritz
The FIARTIL Space has shade during the day thanks to the canopy that the trees provide within the square.

🚊 Getting there from Lisbon
We typically take the Metro to the Cais do Sodré station then catch the Cascais Line train. Estoril is the stop immediately before Cascais. If you have a Navegante card, you can use it on the suburban trains to places like Estoril, Cascais, and Sintra. Simply tap your card at one of the green card-reading pillars.
Trains typically leave from Cais do Sodré every 20 minutes and the train ride to Estoril will take about 40 minutes. The Fair is a 10-minute walk from the Estoril train station.
Tips for a fun visit
Bring a bag for all of the goodies that you may collect.
Bring cash! Many of the vendors only accept cash and MB Way. We ran into few that accepted cards.
There’s no need to arrive when the fair opens (it’s still pretty hot at 5 PM). It’s cooler outside if you wait until 7-8 PM.
We had a great evening at the fair and you should visit too! Hurry before it ends on August 25, 2024.
